A Monumental Meet

The Door County YMCA’s swim team, the Doorfins, brought 36 swimmers to the State Meet and brought home 20 State Championship titles last weekend at Schroeder Pool in Milwaukee. Not only did they bring back state titles, but six state records were also broken. If that wasn’t enough the Doorfins had 22 National Qualifying times. Coach Mike McHugh said, “This has been a spectacular finish to a great season.” This monumental meet also had 11 state runners-up and nine third place finishes.

The YMCA Short Course National Championship will start April 1 at the Greensboro Aquatic Center in Greensboro, North Carolina.
