A New Festival is Born in Northern Door

Door County North recently announced the Door Peninsula’s first county-wide food and wine festival, Uncork Summer, scheduled for June 28 during Olde Ellison Bay Days. Uncork Summer will be located outdoors on the grounds of Wickman House, and will feature 20 food vendor booths, plus local wines and craft beers. Well-known local acoustic musicians, including Katie Dahl, Small Forest and Death Folk, will perform live throughout the day.

Uncork Summer will complement the family activities at Olde Ellison Bay Days. Both events will have the same hours, 10 am – 5 pm on Saturday.

Free parking will be in two locations: the Liberty Grove Historical Society property at the top of the Ellison Bay hill, and the Ellison Bay fire station on Highway 42, north of the village. Free shuttles will ferry visitors from the parking areas and make stops at Olde Ellison Bay Days and Uncork Summer.

There is no admission fee to attend Uncork Summer. Tickets for individual small plate dishes and drinks are $5 each. For more information visit uncorksummer.com.
