‘A Place at the Table’ is next in Movies That Matter Series

On March 15 at 4:30 pm, Movies That Matter presents A Place at the Table, a documentary by Lori Silverbush and Kristi Jacobson that explores hunger in the United States.

Fifty million people in the United States – including one in four children – suffer from hunger and do not get enough to eat on a regular basis to be healthy and active. This film follows three families struggling with food insecurity and examines the key factors contributing to the hunger crisis in America, showing how our nation’s food distribution system, social support programs and even well-meaning charitable organizations allow the cycle to continue. It also visits solutions to food access issues.

Please bring a donation of non-perishable, healthy food items or a cash donation for the local food pantry in Sister Bay. The film is part of the monthly Movies That Matter series examining a wide range of issues. The UU Fellowship is located at 10341 Hwy. 42 in north Ephraim. For further information call 920.854.7559.
