‘A Shoreline At The Edge’ Gives Aerial Look at Door County

Photographer Paul M. Lurie’s new A Shoreline at the Edge: Door County’s Lakeside Forests and Wetlands shares stunning aerial photographs taken from above the Lake Michigan shoreline that show the transition from forest to farm field, and wilderness to towns. In creating the book, Lurie partnered with Door County Land Trust (DCLT) to deepen readers’ appreciation for the peninsula, its islands and the waters that surround it.

The book’s narrative, written by Steve Leonard, the former executive director of The Ridges Sanctuary; and Cinnamon Rossman, Door County Land Trust’s director of charitable giving, speaks about the county’s conservation partnerships.

DCLT is offering the book at no charge, except for $7 for shipping and handling, and any donations received will support land-conservation efforts. Review details of the book offer – including one per household, available on a first-come, first-served basis – at DoorCountyLandTrust.org/Book.
