‘A Tuna Christmas’ Opens at Third Avenue Playhouse

A Tuna Christmas, by Jaston Williams, Joe Sears and Ed Howard, opened at Third Avenue Playhouse on Dec. 12.

Door County audiences won’t recognize Alan Kopischke and Noah Simon as they take on the difficult task of playing more than 20 characters in this fast-paced, side-splitting comedy set during Christmas in the fictional town of Tuna, Texas.

It’s Christmas Eve in the Lone Star state and radio station personalities Thurston Wheelis and Arles Struvie report local news on the Yuletide activities that have gripped their little whistle-stop of Tuna, the third smallest town in Texas, where the Lions Club is too liberal, and Patsy Cline never dies.

A Tuna Christmas will be performed through Dec. 31. Tickets are $32 for adults and $12 for students. Tickets can be purchased online at thirdavenueplayhouse.com or from the box office at 920.743.1760.
