A Vibrant, Impressionistic Style

Local painter Bonnie Paruch currently has an exhibit, titled A Brush with Life, at Cedarburg Art Museum.

Paruch is an award-winning participant in several plein air competitions, including Tucson Plein Air, Door County Plein Air, Rocky Mountain Plein Air, and Cedarburg Plein Air. A signature member of the Pastel Society of America (PSA), her work has been juried five times in the PSA National shows, earning three awards.

A Brush With Life is showing at the Cedarburg Art Museum through August 31. Paruch will give a talk as well as a demonstration of her work on May 22 at 7 pm at the museum. The exhibition features pastels and oil paintings, scenes from rural life executed in a vibrant, impressionistic style.

Paruch currently lives near Sister Bay, and teaches workshops at Peninsula Art School, Fish Creek, and The Clearing, Ellison Bay. To learn more about Paruch, visit bonnieparuchart.com or bparuch.blogspot.com.
