‘Absolute Brightness’ Now Running at TAP

Third Avenue Playhouse (TAP) continues its 2019 season with The Absolute Brightness of Leonard Pelkey, written by James Lecesne and directed by Robert Boles. The show had a pay-what-you-can preview on May 15 and opened on May 16.

The story centers around Chuck DeSantis, played by Alan Kopishcke. He’s a brash, New Jersey detective who’s eager for a case that gets him out from behind his desk, and on one extraordinary day, he finds it in the disappearance of teenager Leonard Pelkey.

Opening night benefited PFLAG Door County, which provides advocacy, education and support for gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender people, their families and friends.

Performances are Wednesday through Saturday, 7:30 pm; and Sunday, 2 pm. General admission is $30; student tickets are $12. Visit thirdavenueplayhouse.com to learn more and buy tickets.
