‘Absolute Brightness’ Opens at TAP May 15

Rehearsals are under way for The Absolute Brightness of Leonard Pelkey, the next show at Third Avenue Playhouse (TAP). Written by James Lecesne and directed by Robert Boles, it will feature Alan Kopischke as Detective Chuck DeSantis.
Kopischke recently directed Julius Caesar at UW-Green Bay, where he teaches acting. His many TAP credits include Jacob Marley’s Christmas Carol, Oleanna and A Walk in the Woods. He has also performed with Steppenwolf, the Milwaukee Rep, Peninsula Players, Theatre Z and regional theatres across the country.
The Absolute Brightness of Leonard Pelkey will run May 16 through June 9, with a special pay-what-you-can preview on May 15. Performances are Wednesday through Saturday, 7:30 pm; and Sunday, 2 pm. Tickets are on sale online at thirdavenueplayhouse.com and at the box office.
