Abstract Pastels On Display at UU Gallery

Sarah Stuart will be the next featured artist at the Unitarian Universalist Gallery in Ephraim. During the month of June, her abstract pastels will be on display in addition to the gallery’s permanent exhibit.

Stuart’s work invites viewers into her world of abstraction, where the intent is not to reproduce “real world subjects” but rather to use the “creativity of the imagination.” She delights in the fusing of forms and color. In her view, this is where artist and observer are interconnected as the viewer brings their imagination to the piece.

Over the years, Stuart’s interest in art has been enriched and nurtured not just by her own explorations but also with the mentoring of fellow artists in Door County. Stuart resides in Door County part of the year and in Santa Fe, New Mexico for other months.

The public is invited to the UU Gallery any Sunday, following services from 11 am – 12:30 pm. Additional gallery hours are Mondays, 1 – 3 pm at 10341 Highway 42, Ephraim. For more information on displaying artwork call 920.839.2606.
