Ad Hoc Committee Will Prioritize Baileys Harbor Marina Needs

Marina supervisor Mark Jonas and Town Chair David Eliot agree that a lot of work could be done to improve the marina in Baileys Harbor, and in December, Eliot assigned a committee to get to work determining the priorities. Initially, he appointed Dr. Tim Tishler, Paul Salm and Chris Warecki. At least three other people have offered to join the committee, and Eliot said he would be in touch with them to possibly expand the group’s size.

Eliot said Tishler knows how to run a meeting well, and Salm has a good view of the marina and serves a lot of fishers and boaters at his restaurant, the Cornerstone. Warecki’s relevant experiences include captaining a tour boat based in Baileys Harbor.
