Adopt-A-Soldier’s Pancake Breakfast Is Aug. 1

An all-you-can-eat pancake breakfast featuring local foods, numerous auction items and music by local musicians are just some of the features of this year’s Adopt A Soldier-Door County (AdoptASoldierDC.com) fundraiser on Aug. 1, 7-11 am, at the Sturgeon Bay Fire Department.

Breakfast will start at 7 am; live music by Cristy Christensen and John Iverson will commence at 7:30 am. At 9 am, local group Last Man Standing will offer its own fresh take on bluegrass, folk and fun music.

There will be opportunities to fund pre-filled care packages and purchase Adopt A Soldier caps, T-shirts, can koozies and other items. Donations and sales at this event help to offset the cost of additional requested items and the huge shipping costs – nearly $20,000 in 2019.
