ADRC of the Lakeshore Hosts Series on Dementia

The dementia-care specialist at the Aging and Disability Resource Center of the Lakeshore will offer a free, virtual educational series about dementia: currently the sixth-leading cause of death in the country, with Alzheimer’s being the most common cause among older adults.

This disease is often difficult to understand and sensitive to discuss, and caregivers may not know that there are resources available to help them navigate this tough disease. This series will share information about those resources.

Dementia 101 – featuring information about the basics of dementia – will be offered virtually March 18, 1-2 pm. Dementia 201 – more intermediate in its content – will be offered virtually April 6, 1-2 pm. To find out more and register, call 877.416.7083.
