Advance Directives is Next CHIP Topic

Northern Door Health & Wellness Ministry continues its Community Health Information Programs with the first of a three-part program on advance directives. Come hear Dr. J. Mitchell Winkler from Green Bay Oncology speak on “Beginning with the End in Mind” on June 28 at 4 pm at the First Baptist Church, Sister Bay. Winkler’s areas of expertise include hematology, medical oncology, internal medicine, hospice and palliative medicine.

Winkler will discuss why thinking ahead and planning for the end of our lives can be a positive, life-affirming experience, instead of a dreary procedure. He will give some background about the different types of plans there are available, as well as helpful tips regarding how to take the first steps to address this critical personal care issue.

Northern Door Health & Wellness Ministry also offers free blood pressure screenings beginning at 5 pm at the monthly Loaves & Fishes Meal on the fourth Tuesday of each month at St. Rosalia Church, and 8:15 – 10:15 am on the second Tuesday of the month at the YMCA in Fish Creek.
