Advocates for Independent Living II Offers Therapeutic Pet Visits

Hannah, an Advocates for Independent Living therapy dog that has received the K-9 Good Citizen Award, visits Barb Williams of Ephraim.

Advocates for Independent Living II (AIL) will now offer fee-based in-home therapeutic pet visits. People who are sick, lonely or feeling depressed will often positively respond to animals.

Ken Jeansonne, owner and general manager of AIL, sees therapeutic pet visits as a natural extension of AIL’s goal to help individuals who are elderly or disabled live on their own terms as much as possible. Pet visitation therapy allows pet interaction without the full responsibility of pet ownership.
