Aerial Landscapes at Mr. Helsinki

Door County artist Melissa Resch presents her first local painting exhibition, The Abstracted Landscape, at Mr. Helsinki Restaurant & Wine Bar, 4164 Main St, 2nd floor, Fish Creek, from July 1 through Aug. 31. An opening reception will be held July 1, 5-7pm.

The series is inspired by local geography and architecture and explores spatial relationships by combining aerial perspectives with those of peering across the landscape.

“When flying, I request a window seat to observe how land is used and how forces of nature continue to shape it. My favorite way to ‘ground’ myself upon arrival is to explore on foot,” Resch said.

Two of Resch’s works are on display until July 14 at The Hardy Gallery’s 57th Annual Juried Exhibit, and two more will be featured July 19 through Aug. 25 in their Collection Invitational Exhibit.
