Ag Extension Seeks Local Producers, Restaurants and Retailers for Resource List

This year’s local producers guide in the Peninsula Pulse will be our most comprehensive to date. Local sourcing has grown more important and popular in recent years, and the Buy Local Ag Subcommittee is working with the UW Agricultural Extension Office to add find restaurants and retailers that regularly use locally grown and raised food. The 2012 Local Producers Guide will be published in the Peninsula Pulse‘s Sustainability Issue that will be available throughout the county April 13.

The UW – Extension wants to hear restaurants that regularly use locally grown or raised food in their menus, as well as retailers that sell locally grown produce, meat, eggs, and other products.
