Agricultural, Household Hazardous Waste Collection

If you are storing hazardous-waste products as part of your agricultural business or residential home, take them to one of the Door County Agricultural and Household Hazardous Waste Program’s collection sites, where they will be recycled or disposed of in an environmentally safe manner.

Collections will take place Nov. 4, 3:30-5:30 pm, at the Sister Bay/Liberty Grove Fire Station, 2258 Mill Road in Sister Bay; and Nov. 5, 8-10 am, at the Door County Highway Department, 1001 S. Duluth Ave. in Sturgeon Bay.

The collection will be operated on a first-come, first-served basis. There is no cost to the agricultural business or homeowner because the County of Door and State of Wisconsin fund the costs.

While dropping off materials, participants must stay in their car at all times and place all items in the trunk or hatchback (items placed behind the driver’s seat will not be unloaded) in a box or container that will not be returned. Gas cans will be returned after being sprayed with disinfectant.
