Algoma Chamber Takes Awards in New Direction

The Algoma Area Chamber of Commerce is taking its annual awards banquet in a new direction. Formerly called the Business, Industry and Education Awards, the ceremony will now be known as the Algoma Area Chamber Beacon Awards and will be presented at Hotel Stebbins on April 22. Members of the public can submit nominations online at algoma.org/beacon for the Business Award, Lighthouse Award, Education Award, Rising Star Award and Improvement “Rose” Recognition. Algoma Chamber business members may also nominate individuals for the new Employee of the Year Award.
