Algoma Sculptor Included in HERStory Exhibit

Algoma artist Bren Sibilsky received an Award of Excellence in the recent HERStory 2016 international juried art show hosted by New York based Manhattan Arts International. This is not Sibilsky’s first award in this annual show. In the HERStory 2007 show she was awarded “Best in Sculpture.” The purpose of HERStory 2016 is to share and promote the art and statements of exceptional women artists. The dates for the online exhibition of women artists is from March 20 – April 20.

Sibilsky is an international, full-time sculptor, painter and fine artist working in a variety of media, with work in many collections throughout North America and Europe. She has had intensive study in the figure with international sculptor Hanna Jubran, as well as bronze casting with Ken and Mary Davidson. In her free time she teaches both private and group art classes.

Sibilsky’s current focus is on several commissions and planning for the 5th Annual Lost Wax Bronze Casting Class at The Algoma Atelier of Sculpture and Art (her newly remodeled teaching facility) with professional instructors Ken and Mary Davidson from July 11 – 16.
