Algoma Welcomes Three New Businesses

The Algoma Area Chamber of Commerce (AACC) welcomed three new businesses to the area in November.

Queen Bee Handmade Soaps, located at 417 Steele St., sells handmade soaps, candles and bath and body products. During the welcome ceremony attended by family members, artists and chamber board members, owner Kimberly Iwen talked about the history leading up to the store’s opening, the various challenges associated with beginning a new business in the midst of a pandemic, and specific support she received from a number of fellow Algoma business owners.

Carnival Deer Processing celebrated its opening in late November. Carnival Deer owners Jan and Kevin Guilette are already busy and expect to stay that way for the remainder of the hunting seasons.
