Algoma’s First Drone Show

On Aug. 12 attendees of Algoma Shanty Days “Celebration of the Lake” will be treated to what is believed to be the area’s first drone show. The performance is scheduled for sundown after local favorite band Spice plays from 4:30-8:30 pm at the main grounds. The show features 25 drones and will last between 10 to 15 minutes. It is set to music sponsored by WDOR 93.9 FM and will showcase the history of flight and the U.S. Military. Those wishing to listen to music can tune into WDOR 93.9 FM just before sunset.

No traffic or persons will be permitted in the safety zone. Police will strictly enforce this rule. Although the show may be seen up to five miles, seating in the recommended area will ensure full viewing effect. For more information and map of the viewing area and safety zones visit algoma.org.
