All about the Moon at Crossroads

Crossroads at Big Creek’s Junior Nature Club will meet again Oct. 15, 10 am, to hear Miss Beth from the Door County Library system share books about the moon as a part of Observe the Moon Week. Young children, their siblings, parents and guardians are all welcome. Meet at the Collins Learning Center.

Return at 4 pm on Oct. 15 to join the naturalist for a gentle walk – appropriate for all ages – through the Big Creek Preserve to enjoy the autumn foliage.

Habitat Healers will meet Oct. 16, 9:30-11:30 am, to help with land-restoration efforts. Instruction, equipment, gloves, cookies and lemonade will be provided.

International Observe the Moon Night will be the highlight Oct. 16, 6-8 pm, at Crossroads’ Astronomy Campus, 2200 Utah St. in Sturgeon Bay. Whether the skies are clear or not, members of the Door Peninsula Astronomical Society will demonstrate how to use the telescopes that are available for checkout at each of the Door County Library System branches. Visit crossroadsatbigcreek.org to learn more about the happenings at Crossroads at Big Creek, 2041 Michigan St. in Sturgeon Bay.
