In September, the Door County Maritime Museum (DCMM) is offering two nonprofit, retail opportunities to spice up the shopping experience at the Door County Maritime Museum: Younkers Community Days booklets and 10 percent-off books.
Every dollar from the sale of the Younkers Community Days booklets goes to benefit the Door County Maritime Museum and educational programming efforts throughout the year. Customers will spend $5, a direct donation to the Door County Maritime Museum, and in exchange will receive valuable coupons to use during the Younkers Community Days Sale in early November. A goal has been set to sell 200 booklets prior to the November Younkers sale.
DCMM Executive Director, Amy Paul, said, “I am excited for the chance to work with Younkers and I hope that the community comes out to support the museum and to obtain great deals from Younkers at the same time. Please purchase your $5 booklet in the Sturgeon Bay store which is open 7 days a week from 10 am to 5 pm.”
There is also a 10-percent discount on all museum books at the Sturgeon Bay location of the Door County Maritime Museum. Cassie Buntin, DCMM store manager, said, “There are hundreds of places to shop but your money has a longer reach here as it also helps the museum to continue in its mission of preserving and celebrating our Great Lakes and Door County maritime history and providing educational opportunities for current and future generations.”
