“All Favorites Great and Small” at Clay Bay Pottery

Clay Bay Pottery in Ellison Bay is hosting its 34th Summer Reception “All Favorites Great and Small” on Friday, July 9, from 5 – 8 pm. The reception will feature personal favorites of each of the participating artists. The public is invited to meet the artists and enjoy refreshments while perusing unique work available only for the weekend event.

For this year’s theme the artists had the freedom to create new work or choose favorites from their personal collections. In addition to the well-known lamps, lady vases, and serving pieces created by Jeanne and David Aurelius, additional participating artists Mary Deneen, Martha Winter, Peder Hegland, and Kate and Jere Huffman will bring new or favorite pottery featuring rich glazes, distinctive decorations, and strong geometric designs. Tony Ledtje will be bringing collages, Sandra Place will have some favorite oil pastels, and Sylvia Youell will show new beautiful silver jewelry. Clay Bay is now also showing the vibrant acrylic paintings of Madison artist Laura Meddaugh.

On Saturday, July 10, from 11 am – 3 pm the artists will offer demonstrations and the opportunity for the public to ask questions about their work.
