Open Door Bird Sanctuary (ODBS) is embarking on a capital campaign this year to raise funds for the land they are currently leasing. All improvements that have been made to the land are owned by ODBS. Proceeds will go to the campaign, which will help the organization to purchase the property and preserve ODBS for generations to come. The 34-acre property is valued at about $175,000. Through significant donations and the Hoot-e-Nanny, 35 percent of their goal has been raised to date.
To help things along, ODBS is holding the second annual Hoot-e-Nanny Aug. 24 at Woodwalk Gallery.
The Hoot-e-Nanny is a folksy, lively and classy dinner event featuring Highland Road for musical entertainment, a fabulous bucket raffle and auction items from golf to restaurants and wine to art and much more. As a bonus, meet some of the ODBS resident raptors in person.
Cocktails and the bucket raffle begins at 5:30 pm with dinner from Thyme Catering at 6:30 pm and dessert and voice auction at 7:30 pm. Highland road will continue the music from 8 – 10 pm with the conclusion of the bucket raffle at intermission.
Tickets are $55 each, and reservations should be made by Aug. 20. For more information or reservations, call 920.629.4877 or email [email protected]
