Altrusa Uses Grant to Host Back-to-School Fair

Altrusa Club of Door County announces the receipt of a grant of $1,000 from the Door County Community Foundation’s Children & Youth Fund. This grant was used to provide new backpacks to over 50 of the nearly 440 disadvantaged children who attended the Back-to-School Fair on August 11.

At this annual event, children receive class-specific school supplies, clothing, new shoes, bike helmets and other items to start the school year.
