Amish “Forever” Barrel Baskets at JCC

Jacksonport Craft Cottage now offers Amish-made “Forever” Barrel Baskets. These baskets are handmade from 100 percent recycled post-consumer product, which means it’s not only durable and beautiful, it’s 100 percent green. The material is also UV treated to resist fading, so the baskets can be kept outside all year and will hold up to the sun, sand and snow.

The popular sleeve basket has no base, and can be used outdoors to set around a planter or mailbox post. The original plastic baskets are made from strips of a plastic material derived from a patent-pending process of recycling discarded plastic items. Jacksonport Craft Cottage recommends placing the 24 inch outdoor basket over round planter half barrels.

The baskets are available in the traditional basket weave or with green, blue or red accents. Quantities are limited, so stop in soon for the best selection.
