AMVETS Post 51 Award Prizes to St. Peters Kindergarten Students

AMVETS Post 51 has awarded prizes to three kindergarten students from St. Peters Lutheran School for their participation in the AMVETS Americanism flag-coloring contest, a patriotic program the organization offers schools and youth organizations to teach children in kindergarten through fifth grade about American heritage, civics and citizenship.It includes a series of contests in which children color flags and design posters that are grade-specific and age-appropriate. Winners at the local level progress to state and perhaps even national competitions.
