Amy Kohnle Honored at HELP of Door County Annual Meeting

Amy Kohnle, executive director of the United Way of Door County, was honored as this year’s recipient of the Anne Kok Social Justice Award at HELP of Door County’s Annual Meeting. The award honors those who carry on Kok’s legacy and are champions of social justice, change and domestic violence advocacy. Paul Kok, board member for HELP, presented the award and shared, “I can think of no one more deserving than Amy whose life’s work has mirrored the high ideals of social justice that Anne held so dearly.”

Kohnle has served as the executive director of the United Way of Door County since 1999 and has been instrumental in the success of numerous initiatives. She currently sits on the Boards of NAMI and Door-Tran and serves in a leadership role with Discuss Door County, the Collaboration Community Grant Committee and the United Way Midwest Regional Conference.
