Annual Cy Rosenthal Memorial Dance on Oct. 19

The Door County Folk Alliance is sponsoring its next traditional New England style barn dance on Oct. 19, 7 – 9 pm, at the Institute Saloon dance hall on Highway 57 in Institute. This event will be the alliance’s annual Cy Rosenthal Memorial Fund dance. Tim Jenkins from La Crosse, Wis., will be the caller and Sugar on the Floor will provide the music for reels, jigs, hornpipes and waltzes.

As always, each dance will be taught, and beginners are most welcome. Come alone, with a partner, or bring a group of friends for a lively evening. No entrance fee is charged, but donations are appreciated to help pay for the hall, the caller, and to support community dance in Door County. The dances are alcohol free and open to the public.
