Annual JHS Meeting Set for July 22

Jacksonport Historical Society’s (JHS) annual dinner meeting on July 22 at Mr. G’s Logan Creek Grille, 5890 Hwy. 57, Jacksonport. Pat Grahn will present “A History of Wedding Gowns” and covers wedding gowns from the turn of the century to the present day. Included will be what was happening in America’s history at the time, what fabrics were used, why the styles were what they were, and many heartwarming wedding gown stories. The dinner will be a recreation of wedding celebrations from the past, including wedding cake and live music. There will be a Money Bay Purse Raffle, as well as selling JHS raffle tickets. Proceeds raised will be put toward repairs and improvements at the JHS museum site development. This event is open to the public.
