Annual Juried Exhibit Opens at The Hardy

The Hardy Gallery is pleased to present its 54th Annual Juried Exhibit, June 17 – July 21, featuring a dynamic range of artwork from local and regional artists. The opening reception is June 17 beginning at 5:30 pm. The most notable of The Hardy exhibits, this exhibit features a variety of media: painting, drawing, sculpture, photography, ceramics and mixed media. This exhibit offers emerging artists the opportunity to gauge their development and established artists the opportunity to explore new ideas and techniques.

Five jurors were selected to survey the show and judge work based on artistic merit, aesthetics, craftsmanship and originality. Five awards will be announced during the opening reception of the show beginning at 6 pm. Awards include First Place, Second Place, Third Place, Francis Hardy Honorable Mention and People’s Choice Awards.

A jury panel discussion is scheduled for June 17 at 1 pm at The Hardy Gallery, which allows the jurors to speak in-depth about their process for jurying this exhibit. All jurors’ artwork will be on display during the duration of the exhibit. The panel discussion is open to the public.
