Annual Juried Exhibition Opens at the Hardy Gallery
On Friday, June 6, the Francis Hardy Center for the Arts in Ephraim hosted an opening reception for its 46 Annual Juried Exhibition. The exhibit showcases new artwork by established and emerging artists, both local and regional.
The artwork was selected through a process of careful deliberation among a diverse panel of jurors who are active arts professionals.
“A juried exhibit is by nature a competitive event,” said Jan Comstock, the Hardy’s Executive Director. “Just as performing artists audition for opportunities, so do visual artists. The end result is a fresh, innovative grouping of artworks representing a wide variety of media and styles.”
The juried exhibit is one of three educationally focused exhibitions scheduled for the 2008 summer season and just one of many opportunities offered by the Hardy Gallery.
The exhibition will be on display through July 13 in the Hardy Gallery located on Ephraim’s historic Anderson Dock.
The Hardy Gallery is open daily from 10am-5pm. For more information about the art center and its upcoming exhibitions and programs, call 920.854.2210, email [email protected], or visit http://www.thehardy.org.
