Annual TAP Gala Features Fine Art Auction Aug. 14

The Board of Directors and staff of Third Avenue Playhouse (TAP) announce Celebrate TAP, the annual Gala fundraising event, on Aug. 14, 6-9 pm, at the Door County Fire Company in Sturgeon Bay.

“Celebrate TAP has developed into a really fun event,” said TAP Marketing and Development Director Amy Ensign. The evening begins with a meet-and-greet, followed by a light buffet and live fine art auction. The celebration continues with entertainment by company members past and present along with the cast of all three of TAP’s Summer/Fall shows.

This year’s live fine art auction includes pieces by Ginnie Cappaert, Joe Kaftan, Stephanie Trenchard, Rick Risch, Mary White and Sandra Martinez. Jeremy Popelka is creating hand-blown fine art vases to recognize member of TAP’s inner circle of donors.

“Our annual gala has such a warm, friendly, and welcoming feel,” said Ensign. “It is so wonderful to see the Door County arts community joining together with TAP volunteers and the community to support professional live theatre in Sturgeon Bay.”
