Annual Valentine’s Show at Plum Bottom

Plum Bottom Pottery & Gallery invites the community to Art Show 1 – the Annual Valentine’s Show,  Feb. 3, 10 am – 4 pm. The gallery is full of new work. Have an artful valentine gift this year from one of Plum Bottom’s featured artists:  Angela Olson-Luberger, Luana Coonen, Heather Allard, Erik Hendrick and Noelle VanHendrick.

Olson-Luberger, Sturgeon Bay native, works with sterling silver and gold filled wire, incorporating stunning stones to create one-of-a-kind earrings and necklaces. Versatile gemstones such as pearls, labradorite, amazonite and turquoise make these pieces easy to dress up or down.

Coonen hand crafts beautiful miniature heart and key necklaces, expertly capturing the spirit of love. These contemporary designs are created with recycled gold, silver and fair-mined gemstones.

Give the gift of flowers that will never wilt or die with a quilled flower (or heart) from Heather Allard. Her intriguing quilling art incorporates delicate paper filigrees into vibrant, textural designs. Her contemporary work as a quilter is helping to revive this ancient paper art.

Ceramic “Buckets of Love,” “Cups of Peace” and “Breath Cups” from potters Erik and Noelle VanHendrick are adorned with encouraging words and images. These dishwasher- and microwave-safe ceramics are fully functional works of art for daily use.

In addition to the art, sip a glass of von Stiehl wine, try Door County Coffee & Tea Co.’s coffee or snack on some light refreshments.

Plum Bottom Pottery & Gallery is open 10 am – 4 pm, Tuesday through Saturday. To visit, go 15 minutes north of Sturgeon Bay or five minutes south of Egg Harbor on Highway 42 then east one mile to 4999 Plum Bottom Road.
