Another Win Against the Rebels

The Door County Destroyers took on the Sheboygan County Rebels on July 18 at the Baileys Harbor Rec Park. This was the sixth time the teams faced each other in three seasons, and the Destroyers won with a score of 14-7. With the win, the Destroyers improve to 2-1-1 and the Rebels fall to 0-4 in league play.

Standout performers:

• Quarterback Matt Matsch was 7-28 for 38 yards, with 1 touchdown

• Running Back TaMar Scott carried the offense as he ran for 120 yards on 16 carries

• Fullback Brock Rosendale had 7 carries for 15 yards, 1 touchdown, and 3 receptions for 32 yards

• Tight End Andrew Lamers caught 2 passes for 10 yards and had 1 touchdown

• Linebacker AJ Hamilton led the defense with 7 total tackles, 3 for loss, 1 sack and 1 pass deflection

• Defensive End Brian Oudenhoven had 3 total tackles (2 for loss) and 2 sacks

• Safety Bryan Beachler had 3 tackles (1 for loss), 1 sack, 1 interception and 1 pass deflection
