Antique Car Gala Highlight of Island Fair

The annual Washington Island Lions Club Island Fair will take place on Saturday, August 15 at various locations around the island.

The day always begins with a themed parade, with this year’s theme being “Proud to be an American.” The floats and parade units will take on this patriotic theme. The parade will form in downtown Washington Island at 11:30 am for a noon start.

Also featured as part of the fair is an antique car gala, with the theme of “Back to the ‘50s and Beyond.” This is the perfect time to bring one’s classic car or motorcycle to Washington Island to be in the parade and then display in the car corral later in the afternoon. After the parade, the car owners will have a chance to share the history of their vintage cars and motorcycles with fairgoers who visit the car corral.

Admission to the Fair is $1. For more information, contact Rob Overdahl, Lions Club Fair Chairman, at 920.847.2638.
