Apple Picking, Eating Contests & Winery Tours during Fall Harvest Fest

Lautenbach’s Orchard Country Winery & Market will host its annual Fall Harvest Fest Sept. 23, 10 am – 5 pm, with complimentary tasting of its wines, fresh-picked apples and specialty foods.

The fun also includes apples for picking, free guided winery tours – every hour from 10 am – 4 pm; and two delicious contests – an apple cider donut eating contest at 11:30 am and an apple pie eating contest at 12:30 pm.

Hop aboard a horse-drawn wagon ride throughout the scenic orchards or sit back and enjoy the sounds of Last Man Standing from noon till five pm. Children’s activities include pumpkin bowling, an inflatable bouncer, face painting, and balloon creations by Happyness Clowns 11 am – 3 pm. Plus there will be delicious fall foods, bakery, and a variety of pumpkins and gourds available for purchase.

“September is a wonderful time to get outdoors and visit Door County – from the fresh-picked apples and colorful leaves to the delicious treats and cooler temperatures,” said Carrie Lautenbach-Viste. “We invite everyone to stop in to enjoy our festival activities.”
