The Rotary Technical Education/Robert Muckian Scholarships have been awarded for the past 13 years to deserving high school seniors who plan to attend a two-year accredited technical college or other accredited technical-education course.
Students who are selected must have a 2.0 GPA, be involved in extracurricular activities or working, and demonstrate service to others. The application requires a brief essay on the topic of Service Above Self, which is Rotary International’s motto.
The Rotary Club of Sturgeon Bay Charitable Trust and an endowment from the estate of Rotarian Robert Muckian fund the scholarships, which range from $500 to $1,200.
Complete information and the application are available at doorcountyscholarships.org, or download the application at sturgeonbayrotaryclub.org/scholarships. The online submission deadline is March 15.
A committee of Rotarians will make the final selections, and the awards will be presented during a May 14 Rotary luncheon.
