Baseball

Sturgeon Bay 8, Oconto 3

Sturgeon Bay defeated Oconto 8-3 in a Packerland Conference baseball matchup Tuesday.

Winning pitcher Trent Ehlers allowed only one run. Isaac Berkley closed out the game by striking out the last two Oconto hitters.

The Clippers’ Ryan Jacobson was 4 for 4 and scored three runs. Ehlers had a pair of doubles and Max Bordeau drove in three runs.

The Clippers host Green Bay NEW Lutheran for a doubleheader Thursday. The first game will be the conclusion to a game that was suspended on Apr. 8. The second game will follow.

Gibraltar 7, Sevastopol 4

Gibraltar beat Sevastopol 7-4 in a Packerland Conference baseball game Tuesday.

Trevor Reinhardt had two hits and two RBIs for the Vikings. Luke Steebs added a pair of hits and Brandon Stillman and Dominic Krauel each had an RBI. Reinhardt pitched 6 ⅔ and struck out nine in a winning effort.

Brent Haberli went 4 for 4 with two RBIs for the Pioneers. Ethan Kroll had three hits and Jaden Sawyer added two hits.

Softball

Southern Door 4, Algoma 0

Southern Door stopped Algoma 4-0 in a Packerland Conference softball game Thursday.

Tehya Bertrand had three hits and an RBI. Jackie Atkins and Kendra Dantoin had two hits and an RBI. Winning pitcher Lexi Wery tossed a three hitter and struck out four batters.

In other Packerland Conference action Tuesday, Gibraltar defeated Sevastopol 12-10 and Oconto stopped Sturgeon Bay 13-6.

Sevastopol’s Lauren Junion was 3 for 4 with a double and three RBIs and Sasha Laaksonen was 2 for 4 with two RBIs.

Oconto 13, Sturgeon Bay 6

Sarah Bridenhagen was 3 for 4 with three RBIs for the Clippers. Jaiden Adams had a pair of hits and Gracee Abeyta, Katie Frank, Alexis McCarthy and McKenzie Daoust each had an RBI.

Girls Soccer

Sevastopol/Gibraltar defeated Marinette 4-2 in a non conference girls soccer matchup Tuesday.

Reetika Jandu had a pair of goals in the second half. Molly Banks scored the first goal and Kayla Copiskey added a goal off a direct kick.

The Vikineers play Sturgeon Bay Thursday.
