April Verch Will Delight at White Gull Inn Feb. 26

Canadian fiddler, singer and step dancer April Verch and her band are sure to delight the White Gull Inn audience Feb. 26, 8 pm. Concert tickets are $25.

Verch is well known for playing traditional fiddle styles from her native Ottawa Valley, Canada, but she extends into old-time American and Appalachian styles and beyond. She tours with world-class musicians as a trio to add acoustic guitar, bass and clawhammer banjo to her vocals, fiddle and foot percussion.

Verch began her full-time touring career in 2000 and has made festival, theater and performing-arts center appearances in Canada, the U.S., China, Australia, the UK, Belgium, Sweden, Denmark, Finland, Norway, Germany, Switzerland, Austria, France, Spain, the Czech Republic and the United Arab Emirates. She also presents workshops, master classes, and lectures during her tours and at music camps.

An optional pre-concert, fixed-price dinner will be served at 6 pm. The menu will be coq au vin served over mashed Yukon golds, a salad of winter greens with fennel, classic French green salad and steamed chocolate pudding. Reserve your place by contacting the White Gull Inn.
