    The Door County Health Department will hold cholesterol screenings on Jan. 18. If interested in a screening, fast for 12 hours before the test. Results include total cholesterol, HDL, LDL, glucose and triglycerides. The cost is $30. To schedule an appointment, call Marsha at 920.746.2255.

    The Door Peninsula Astronomical Society meets Feb. 7 at 7 pm at the Stonecipher Astronomy Center, 2200 Utah Street in Sturgeon Bay. Stephen Hawking’s Genius will be screened and astronomy basics on the use of binoculars for sky viewing will be presented. Guests are always welcome and refreshments will be served.
