Arlene Stanger Included in The Last Spooky Show

“Enter” by Arlene Stanger.

Arlene Stanger’s image “Enter,” an iPhone photograph, was selected for The Last Spooky Show, a juried exhibit in the Lightbox Photographic Gallery in Astoria, Ore. The exhibit runs Oct. 12 – Nov. 5 and includes images that evoke a sense of unease, while maintaining an element of beauty.

Stanger, of Baileys Harbor, said, “While I continue to use a point and shoot digital camera and Holga camera, which is a cheap plastic camera made in China using 120 mm film, I have recently become enamored with taking photos with my iPhone after taking an iPhone workshop with Suzanne Rose. The photography apps available are amazing in their creative and editing capabilities.”

Stanger’s images have been juried in the Miller Art Museum in Sturgeon Bay, Hardy Gallery in Ephraim, Guenzel Gallery at Peninsula School of Art and the Midwest Seven State Exhibition in Madison, as well as the Peninsula Pulse’s Hal Grutzmacher’s Photography Jubilee issues.
