Claudia Scimeca’s ARTicipation Studio & Gallery on Sturgeon Bay’s west side was rocking on Friday evening with Cathy Grier and friends playing for the crowd, food and beverages in the back and a collection of art donated for a silent auction. The open-house kick-off to the long, Labor-Day weekend served also as fundraiser for Peninsula Pulse reporter Sam Watson, who is recovering from numerous injuries sustained in a July 19, head-on collision while en route to work. The Sam Watson Benefit Fund continues to be active at Nicolet Bank for any wishing to contribute to her convalescence and recovery. Photos by Rachel Lukas.
