Art Collides with Fashion at Bazyli Studio

Bazyli Studio Wearable Art in Baileys Harbor has opened its doors for the 2016 season. Home to resident artists Skye and Peter Ciesla, Bazyli is a destination gallery in a beautiful garden setting, ¼-mile from Highway 57.

Peter’s dynamic and meticulously crafted coats, vests and jackets are fashioned from organic, reclaimed and recycled textiles. In addition, they represent an interesting cross-section of wearable artists this year including 5 Miles East Alpaca, Ilze Heider leather bags, Joan Kennedy felted accessories, Mary Mendla wearables, Carter Smith Shibori leggings and tops, and Angela Lensch jewelry.

Skye and Peter collaborate on Bazyli Jewelry – award-winning designs that have shown on runways coast to coast. Their most recent collaboration series combines leather, various stones, beads and mineral specimens in a variety of sizes and lengths. They also have classic Bazyli necklaces, cuffs, brooches, earrings and belts, alongside larger sculptural neckpieces in the Bazyli Collection.

Visit Bazyli Studio during Memorial Day weekend when the county is in full swing. Bazyli Studio Wearable Art, located at 2551 Ahrens Rd. in Baileys Harbor, is open 10 am – 5pm Wednesday through Saturday. They will also be open Sunday of Memorial Day weekend. For more information call 920.831.2526.
