“Art in the Barn” Sales Start for Season

This season, on three separate occasions, the Door County Art League (DCAL) members will be displaying and selling their work in a beautiful barn setting at 8822 Hwy. 57 in Baileys Harbor. The first “Art in the Barn” sale is scheduled for Thursday through Sunday, July 10 –13, from 10 am – 5 pm. Participating members will also be demonstrating their diverse talents in the big red barn with the green roof three miles north of downtown Baileys Harbor.

More than 300 strong, DCAL members work in a variety of media, from painting, pottery, and printmaking to fiber, folk art, and photography to calligraphy, carving, and clay sculpture.

Jeanne Whildin, League president, says, “This is an exciting time for the Door County artist community and our visitors as we showcase the immense talents of our members in this venue and, also, in our new gallery at the Top of the Hill Shops in Fish Creek.”

Membership is open to artists and all other persons interested in and supportive of the visual arts in Door County.

This season’s remaining sales will take place August 15 – 17 and October 10 – 12. For more information, visit http://www.doorcountyartleague.org. Jeanne Whildin, 920.823.2532, and Vice-president JoAnne Rosenfeld, 920.559.7530, also welcome inquiries.
