“Art of Music” at The Outpost

Karen Mal and Buddy Mondlock will help celebrate the 4th of July weekend at the Door County Outpost in Egg Harbor on Saturday, July 5 at 7:30 pm.

Originally from New England, more recently from Wisconsin, Mal worked in regional theatre for several years as an actor and musical director/composer before settling in Austin, Texas to play music full-time. In three short years, Karen Mal has gone from a virtual unknown on the Austin acoustic music scene to one of the most sought-after performers around, both as a solo artist and as a sideman for others on mandolin, guitar, and harmony vocals.

Joining Mal on Saturday night will be Buddy Mondlock, an acclaimed songwriter. His new album, The Edge of the World, is his most personal recording to date. It captures not only the introspective journey from childhood through a recent breakup of a marriage, but also provides wry observations about social interactions and takes on a political edge as well.

Tickets for this concert are $10 at the door. The Outpost is located on 4690 Rainbow Ridge Court in Egg Harbor.
