Art of the Wild Side

A collaboration between the Southern Door Community Auditorium and the “Art of Music” presents: “Art on the Wild Side,” a day camp for kids. Young artists between the ages of 5 and 12 will have the opportunity to use their creativity to develop a story they can tell through visual and performing arts. Participates will spend time with visual and performing arts instructors, utilizing age-appropriate activities to create skits and matching media art.

The instructors and campers will focus on music, dance, and visual arts, using performance, demonstration, and other activities. On Thursday, children will have the opportunity to perform multiple vignettes in front of a live audience. At the end of the session each child will have amazing artwork to bring home.

Camp sessions run 11 am – 3 pm, June 21 – 24, July 5 – 8, July 12 – 15, July 19 – 22. The sessions will be held at the Southern Door Community Auditorium on the campus of Southern Door Schools in Brussels. Each child will receive a camp T-shirt and daily snacks will be provided.
