  • Noble House Art Show

    Artwork by local artist Mary Blotti Anderson will be on display at the Noble House Office and Education Center in Fish Creek on Saturday, June 21 from 1 – 4 pm as part of an open house.

    The Amish quilt room at the Jacksonport Craft Cottage showcases nearly 100 Amish quilts, recently hand-picked by owners Sue and Joe Jarosh. Quilts, wall hangings, and other Amish made items are available, as well as texts regarding the Amish lifestyle.

  • Miller Hosts Bechtold Landscape Retrospective

    The exhibition, “Rodger Bechtold: Translated Landscapes,” will continue through July 22 at the Miller Art Museum in Sturgeon Bay. This retrospective includes representative work from the previous ten years along with paintings newly created for the exhibition.

  • J. Jeffery Taylor Hosts Jeweler Ricky Frank Trunk Show

    Beginning May 30, the J. Jeffery Taylor Gallery in Fish Creek will host an exclusive trunk show for premier goldsmith and enamellist, Ricky Frank. The show will continue through the first week in June.

    A part of the Door County Peninsula for 24 years, the Jacksonport Craft Cottage features Door County’s premier collection of Amish quilts, fine arts and crafts.

  • Mother and Son Featured at Mr. Helsinki

    Artwork by Baileys Harbor artist Donna Brown will be on exhibit from May 23 through June 27 at Mr. Helsinki Restaurant and Wine Bar in Fish Creek. The title for the exhibit, “Door County Impressions,” denotes both the process involved in creating the artwork, as well as the subjects used.

  • Pinc Opens The Flying Pig Back Gallery Series

    The artwork of Jeremy Pinc, an artist based out of Fort Atkinson, WI, will be the first exhibited in the 2008 Back Gallery Series at The Flying Pig Gallery and Greenspace.

  • Door County Art League opens showcase gallery

    Wednesday, May 21, two days before the grand opening of the Door County Art League Gallery, a straight line of white string was taped to the gallery’s almost bare walls while the floor was full.

  • First Stuff-o-Rama Flea Market

    The first Stuff-o-Rama flea market of the season is set for Saturday, June 14, on the grounds of Domicile and Stuff in Sister Bay. Vendors from Door County and beyond will be selling antiques, junque, household items, collectibles, and treasures in the old apple orchard located at 10592 on Highway 57.

    Door County Art League (DCAL) artist Marjory Allingham will be demonstrating Bauernmalerei from 10 am – 5 pm on Saturday, May 31 at the Door County Art League Gallery in the Top of the Hill Shops on Highway 42 and County F in Fish Creek.

  • Local Artist Chosen for Prestigious Exhibition

    Sister Bay artist Bonnie Paruch, a signature member of the Pastel Society of America, was recently selected as an exhibitor in the Signature Member Exhibition to be held this summer at the Bennington Center for the Arts in Bennington, VT.

  • Peninsula Art School Youth Contest Winners

    Almost 50 young artists, ranging in age from one and a half to 16, competed for the top prize of a free summer workshop scholarship at the Peninsula Art School during the school’s Family Day on Saturday, May 17.

  • Peninsula Art School Showcases Work by Faculty

    The summer faculty of the Peninsula Art School reveal the roots of their style and inspiration in an exhibit entitled “Now & Then: Current and Early Works by Faculty,” on view June 20 to July 17 in the school’s Guenzel Gallery.
