    The 10th Annual Amish Quilt Show and Sale will be held from July 17 – 20 at the Sister Bay Village Hall. The event showcases over 90 Amish Quilts, wall hangings, rugs, table runners, placemats, baskets and more and will once again be sponsored by the Jacksonport Craft Cottage.

    On Friday, June 6, the Fairfield Art Center in downtown Sturgeon Bay opened a special exhibition in its lower-level b2 Gallery. Simply titled “Henry Moore,” the exhibition comprises a selection of the British master’s maquettes and graphic works from the art center’s internationally recognized permanent collection.

  • Summer Solstice Celebration at Gallery Ten

    This season, Charlene Berg will sell the artwork of villagers from Ecuador to help fund the “Art for Water” initiative. The program, a brainchild of Kendra Johnson and Froylan Sifuentes, environmental and chemical engineering students at MIT respectively, as well as Johnson’s mother Tera, aims to sell ceramics and jewelry created by residents of Puerto Santa Ana – a multi-ethnic, indigenous community in Ecuador’s rain forest – within the United States to raise funds to maintain the village’s water system.

  • Schedule for DCAL Plein Air Painting

    The Plein Air painters of the Door County Art League are already into the fourth week of their regularly scheduled Wednesday morning paint-outs. The artists, led by Jim Leatham, paint in various locations throughout the Door Peninsula from April to November.
